Enviornment policy

We focus on the benefits that sustainable tourism can offer to the local people, the environment and community. For us, a reduction of the detrimental effects of tourism to the ecosystem is not just a passion but a social responsibility to the earth and its life for sustainable development-a tribute to our mother-not to fill her heart with suffocating smoke,non-biodegradables and chemicals. We are aware that we may have to walk through stones and thorns to achieve a green world, but with you, we can do so easily. These are a few aspects of our villas which meet our environmentally responsible policy. The use of low energy(5star rated)electric appliances, modern (passive house) design so as to promote air circulation (we don’t promote air conditioners as a part of our policy). Exerciser cum water pumping mechanism which decomposes of kitchen waste to provide bio-gas for cooking and heating. Waste water is recycled and used to water the garden all garden waste is decomposed to make mature compost and all burnable waste is incinerated on site. Rain water harvesting is employed as well as solar panels. The gardens are kept free of pesticides and artificial fertilizers the site has been landscaped to encourage butterflies and a large range of local and migratory birds and to this effect we operate a strictly ‘minimal plastic’ policy. To this end we use bags made of cotton and recycled paper (which also gives work to the local people)
